Public transport: eligibility without the queue.

Discounted fares exist for passengers who qualify by age, student status or disability. The entitlement is real, and the flow has to establish it without importing the cost and friction of a bank onboarding journey.

Use case

Eligibility without the queue.

The problem

Discounted fares exist for passengers who qualify by age, student status or disability. The entitlement is real, and the flow has to establish it without importing the cost and friction of a bank onboarding journey.

The application

A risk-based eligibility flow runs at subscription rather than at every journey. Existing data is used where it can establish the entitlement. When it cannot, the passenger is asked for the additional evidence needed, such as a document read optically or over NFC, or a verified identity they already hold.

Why it matters beyond transport

The same components can support bank onboarding under a different policy. The checks do not have to change. Their sequencing and the evidence threshold do.
